Community Screenings

Free Comprehensive Eye Screenings

Our free community screening initiative was designed to make eyecare more accessible to communities across Trinidad and Tobago. Every month, the Eye Screening Unit team visits different communities to offer comprehensive eye screenings free of charge. These screenings include; a vision test, pressure test and fundus photos and can detect if any underlying sight-threatening eye conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, or glaucoma to name a few.

Everyone over the age of 12 can get their eyes screened free of charge. It is recommended that everyone should get their eyes screened a minimum of once every two years, and once every year if you are over the age of 60.
