The Essilor Vision-S™ 700 is an immersive refraction station designed to bring subjective refraction, distance simulation and patient engagement together within one compact system.
Its Digital Infinite Refraction™ technology combines a patented liquid-lens optical module with Smart Programs and algorithms to support a fast, guided refraction process. Continuous and simultaneous power changes help compensate sphere, cylinder and axis as the examination progresses, providing a more direct route toward the final prescription.
Unlike a traditional refraction room, the Vision-S 700 uses patented distance-simulation technology to reproduce near and far viewing conditions within the device itself. This eliminates the need for the conventional 20-foot or 6-metre patient-to-chart distance and allows practices to perform refraction within a significantly smaller footprint.
The system also incorporates immersive, life-like visual scenes that allow patients to experience and compare prescription changes in more realistic situations, helping create a more engaging and intuitive refraction experience.
