WAM™ 800
Essilor
Aberrometer
The Essilor WAM™ 800 is a multifunction diagnostic platform designed to provide comprehensive eye physiology screening within a fast, automated examination.
Using wavefront technology together with objective refraction, corneal topography, keratometry, pachymetry, tonometry and pupillometry, the WAM 800 brings multiple measurements together within a single system. The device is designed to complete a comprehensive screening in less than two minutes.
Its diagnostic capabilities support the assessment of several areas of ocular health. Retroillumination provides detailed visualization of crystalline-lens opacity for cataract screening, Placido-ring topography supports corneal and keratoconus assessment, and tonometry combined with pachymetry and anterior-chamber measurements provides additional information for glaucoma screening and monitoring.
The WAM 800 also extends beyond ocular-health screening into visual-performance assessment, allowing practitioners to evaluate day and night vision, pupillary behaviour and near-vision eye fatigue.

Screening & Assessment Capabilities
Cataract Screening
Infrared retroillumination provides a detailed view of crystalline-lens opacity to assist with cataract screening.
Keratoconus Assessment
Placido-ring topography analyzes more than 100,000 corneal points and provides a keratoconus probability index.
Glaucoma Screening & Monitoring
Tonometry, pachymetry and anterior-chamber measurements help provide additional information for glaucoma assessment.
Visual Performance
Wavefront analysis supports day/night vision simulation and assessment of pupillary behaviour and near-vision eye fatigue.
